Join us for a special evening to launch Global Sharing Week 2019 and Generation Share:

The Power of Sharing to Change the World

The People Who Share would like to invite you to an evening to remember on Monday June 17th from 6.30-9pm. We’re excited that Global Sharing Week, the world’s largest annual celebration of sharing and the Sharing Economy, will this year see the launch of Generation Share, a book demonstrating the power of Sharing to save lives. Chief Sharer and international speaker, Benita Matofska and photographer with purpose Sophie Sheinwald will share stories of their three-year extraordinary journey to meet the inspiring change-makers who are transforming lives. From the woman enabling slum girls in India to have a bright future, to the UK entrepreneur who has started a food sharing revolution; you'll discover the creators of a life-saving human milk bank, a trust cafe and a fashion library who are changing the world.

Published by Policy Press to celebrate Global Sharing Week, Generation Share is printed from waste materials and compostable, each copy sold will help educate a slum-based girl in India (one of the featured Generation Share projects, Aarti Naik’s Sakhi School for Girls) and plant a tree via the Edeen Poverty and Reforestation Project, helping to share the love and inspire more sharing with every purchase.

We’ll be hosted by Haptivate who believe that everyone has the potential to feel happier. Using the latest research into the science of happiness and well-being, they help individuals and organisations to make practical changes to lead happier and more productive working lives, supporting young people and community well being.

Expect an evening to warm the heart with the usual Sharefest; a Share Table supporting a local cause (more to come), awe-inspiring speakers, a Generation Share book signing and some random acts of kindness. What’s not to love?
