Imagine if we could solve the world's problems at a local level at the same rate we launch new technologies at a global level? Join The Ladder global goals accelerator to co-create initiatives, products, services with inter-disciplinary professionals and directly impact key issues for Dublin.
Challenge for this Sprint Round.
Challenge 1: Coalition 2030 With 17 Goals and 169 individual targets to be measured, reported on and met, new partnerships are needed – partnerships which bring together citizens and organizations from across the country, from across sectors and from across the various strands of Government. Coalition2030 engages across all SDGs and the 2030 Agenda from monitoring, evaluation, learning, research, education, public engagement, advocacy and communications activities and events.
Challenge 2: Precious Plastics “We are Precious Plastic. Precious Plastic is a global community of hundreds of people working towards a solution to plastic pollution. Knowledge, tools and techniques are shared online, for free. So everyone can start (yes, you too!). Hundreds of people all over the world contribute to the project with their skills & knowledge, single or monthly donations. Precious Plastic was started in 2013 by Dave Hakkens and is now at its third iteration (version) counting on dozens of people working on the project, remotely or on site (somewhere below sea level in the Netherlands). Join the fight against plastic pollution.”
Challenge 3: Love Dolphin Park (Community Sports Facility) Love Dolphin Park is a community coming together to try and keep a precious resource for the health and well-being of children, schools and sports clubs in an area starved of green spaces. A Proposal has been brought forward to develop apartments on the Sports club ground. Removing this green space from a community dependent on it for sport development and retaining Irish heritage through traditional sport. How can we hold on to this valuable resource helping to strengthen our future generation and providing them with much need active development?
